Tembisa Room Finders is a property rental platform that helps users find rooms, apartments, cottages, bachelor units, and family homes across Tembisa and nearby areas. Users can search by location, property type, price range, bedrooms, and property features, then contact an agent directly from the listing page. The system also includes an admin side where listings can be posted, managed, and updated.
Study Buddy is an exam preparation platform for South African Grade 12 and matric learners. The system gives students access to past exam papers, NSC papers, memos, and subject-based study material, with AI-powered homework help and study support to make revision easier and more accessible.
A personal brand website for Executive Chef Kyle Marshall, designed to showcase his story, culinary philosophy, signature dishes, and visual food gallery. The site highlights his role at The 11th Floor and positions his cooking around luxury dining, fresh ingredients, creative presentation, and memorable guest experiences.
My journey started with a BSc in Computer Science from IIE Varsity College, where I built a foundation in software engineering, databases, web development, and problem solving. At the time, I was still figuring out who I wanted to become, but I knew I wanted to build things that worked, solved problems, and could be used by real people.
In 2022, I started as a Junior Developer at Syscor.ai, working on full-stack development and monday.com integrations. It was a season of learning fast, making mistakes, fixing them, and slowly building the confidence to move from writing code to understanding how real business systems are put together.
In 2023, I earned my monday.com Developer Certificate, which helped me deepen my experience in custom apps, workflow automation, and platform integrations. Every project pushed me further: React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, APIs, dashboards, and the kind of details that make systems reliable instead of just functional.
In 2024, I joined Alpha Insure as a Junior Full-Stack Developer, contributing to end-to-end feature development, system reliability, and internal business tools. This chapter challenged me to work closer with stakeholders, understand product needs, and build software that supports real operations, not just clean interfaces.
By 2025, I was promoted to Mid-level Full-Stack Developer at Alpha Insure. That growth came through consistency: leading feature development across the stack, improving testing practices, supporting CI/CD processes, and turning difficult requirements into usable, maintainable products.
Today, I am Tshidiso Modiko: a full-stack developer focused on React, Next.js, TypeScript, DevOps, UI/UX, Docker, and cloud-native tools. My story is one of persistence: learning through struggle, building through pressure, and using every challenge as proof that I can keep growing and keep delivering.
Toolkit
I treat technology like a carefully prepared service: every tool has a purpose, every decision must earn its place, and nothing should feel accidental. React, Next.js, APIs, dashboards, databases, automation, Docker, and deployment workflows are the ingredients I work with, but the craft is in how they come together. My focus is to understand the problem deeply, build with restraint, and deliver systems that feel considered, dependable, and ready for real use.

I build full-stack products, internal tools, dashboards, automation flows, and React/Next.js interfaces with purpose behind every decision. The result should be clear, dependable, and useful to the people who need it most.
